Go Spurs Go! Your October Game-Day Guide from The Summit of Thousand Oaks
San Antonio, it's that time again. After an unforgettable run, the Silver and Black are back, and Spurs fever is in full swing. The team is coming off a 62-20 season and a Western Conference Championship, led by Victor Wembanyama. Whether you'll be in the stands at Frost Bank Center or cheering from your couch, here's everything you need for a slam-dunk October at The Summit of Thousand Oaks.
Mark Your Calendar: October Home Games
The Spurs play three preseason home games at Frost Bank Center, all at 7 p.m.:
Thursday, October 8 vs. Atlanta Hawks
Wednesday, October 14 vs. Phoenix Suns
Friday, October 16 vs. Sacramento Kings
The Oct. 8 game has a hometown storyline. Hawks rookie Kingston Flemings returns to San Antonio, where he played high school basketball at Brennan. Preseason games are also often a more budget-friendly way to see the team in person.
Then the real thing tips off. The Spurs open the regular season at home against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday, October 20, at 8:30 p.m., a rematch of last season's Western Conference Finals.
A few days later, the Spurs take on the Houston Rockets at Moody Center in Austin on Friday, October 23, the first of three games in this season's I-35 Series. Austin is a fun road trip if you want to make a weekend of it.
Single-game tickets are available through Ticketmaster, Spurs.com, and the Official Spurs Mobile App. See the full season schedule for the rest of the year's highlights.
Heading to the Arena
One of the best parts of living at The Summit is how easy it is to get around town. Frost Bank Center is just a short drive away, so you can get to the game without the hassle of a long commute. A few game-day tips:
Plan your parking ahead of time. Check the Frost Bank Center website for parking options and the arena's bag policy before you leave.
Leave early. Opening night crowds will be big, especially for a rematch with OKC.
Carpool with neighbors. Splitting the ride and parking cost makes the night even better, and it's a great way to meet fellow fans in the community.
Host the Ultimate Watch Party at Home
Can't make it to the arena? Your apartment is the next best seat in the house.
Set up the kitchen. Every home includes a fully equipped kitchen, so you're ready to make wings, nachos, or a pot of chili for the crew.
Take it outside. Your private patio or balcony is the perfect spot for pregame snacks on a cool October evening.
Get cozy for late tip-offs. When the weather turns cooler, light your wood-burning fireplace and settle in for the fourth quarter.
Gear up. Pick up game-day snacks and supplies at nearby Northwoods Shopping Center before tip-off.
Stay in Game Shape
Feeling inspired after watching the pros? Our 24-hour fitness center fits any schedule, even after a late game. For outdoor workouts, McAllister Park is close by and offers miles of trails to enjoy in the fall weather.
